 A feeling that took me by surprise was when I felt really excited learning something new. I didn’t expect it to be so interesting, but as I figured things out, it was like solving a puzzle, and that was kind of thrilling. I thought I’d just be memorizing facts, but I ended up really into it, wanting to know more and see how things fit together. It was a cool surprise that learning could actually feel exciting and fun, not just something I had to do.

Today in class we learned about a new poet.

We also started reading a new poem.

 One player who inspires me is Cristiano Ronaldo because he worked extremely hard to become one of the best soccer players in the world. He came from a poor background, but he never let that stop him from chasing his dream. One lesson I can learn from his journey is that dedication and discipline are just as important as talent. He constantly trains, eats right, and pushes himself to improve every day. Another lesson is to never give up, even when facing challenges or criticism. If I stay focused, work hard, and believe in myself, I know I can achieve my dream of becoming a pro soccer player too.

 One time, a classmate made a rude comment about my interests, saying they were "a waste of time." It caught me off guard and made me feel like something I enjoyed wasn’t important. At first, I felt hurt and frustrated, but then I realized their opinion didn’t define me. I reminded myself that everyone has different passions, and just because they didn’t understand mine didn’t mean they had the right to put me down. Instead of arguing, I chose to ignore the negativity and keep doing what I love. That experience taught me to be confident in my own interests, no matter what others say.
